2026-09-28 Voith Paper obtains Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certification and optimizes its foreign trade supply chain

  • Achievement ensures greater predictability in imports and exports of equipment and parts for the industry

São Paulo, October 2026.  In a strategic move to enhance the operational efficiency and logistical reliability of its operations in Brazil and Latin America,  Voith Paper, the Voith Group's pulp and paper division, has formally obtained Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certification. The certification, granted by the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service, attests to the tax compliance of the company's supply chain, ensuring customs facilitation, priority processing and treatment, and greater predictability of operations

The certification is the result of a rigorous corporate governance process combined with internal training, risk analysis, and the alignment of procedures and documentation.

With AEO certification, Voith Paper's import and export operations involving supplies, spare parts and large industrial components now benefit from greater predictability in customs procedures, priority processing, a potential reduction in cargo dwell time at terminals and the resulting optimization of logistics costs. To illustrate, studies by the Brazilian National Confederation of Industry (CNI) indicate that companies certified under the program record a reduction of up to 75% in goods clearance and inspection times, as well as an estimated financial gain of between 1.80% and 6.30% for each import transaction (based on the CIF value).

With AEO certification, Voith Paper's import and export operations now benefit from the facilitation mechanisms and priority treatment provided by the program. The expectation is to increase the predictability of customs procedures, reduce cargo dwell time and contribute to the optimization of logistics costs, especially in critical maintenance operations, scheduled shutdowns and modernization projects.
